DOJO KUN
Training of Mind and Body
We will train our minds and bodies, developing an indomitable spirit and striving for excellence in technique.
Through dedicated Karate training, we strengthen both body and mind, developing unwavering determination and disciplined technique. True strength is measured not only by our ability to overcome an opponent, but also by our ability to overcome our own weaknesses.
The Way of Full-Contact Karate
We will pursue the true essence of Full-Contact Karate, cultivating courage, endurance, and sound judgment.
Through rigorous training and realistic fighting practice, we develop effective skills, courage, resilience, and perseverance. We also learn to understand our opponents, respect their abilities, and remain calm and composed under pressure.
The Spirit of Bushido
We will honor the spirit of Bushido, upholding integrity, courage, loyalty, and honor.
We embrace the traditional Samurai values of justice, honesty, loyalty, and personal responsibility. A true martial artist does not seek recognition through displays of power, but earns respect through honorable conduct, integrity, and faithfulness to one’s principles.
Respect and Self-Control
We will practice courtesy, respect our instructors and seniors, and use our strength with wisdom and restraint.
We show respect to our teachers, senior students, fellow practitioners, and opponents. The strength developed through Karate must never be used for intimidation or unnecessary violence, but for self-defense, the protection of others, and the preservation of peace.
Humility and Compassion
We will cultivate humility and compassion, respect the dignity of others, and protect those in need.
We recognize that genuine strength requires humility and kindness. A true martial artist never looks down upon others, but stands ready to defend the vulnerable, offer assistance, and treat every person with dignity and respect.
Wisdom and Responsibility
We will develop our intellect and physical strength, uphold justice, and act with honor and responsibility.
Karate training is not limited to physical conditioning. It is a lifelong process of developing wisdom, sound judgment, and strong moral character. We strive to control our emotions, make thoughtful decisions, and accept responsibility for our actions.
The Lifelong Way of SoKarate
Throughout our lives, we will follow the Way of SoKarate, preserve the spirit of Budo, and dedicate our strength to peace and the well-being of humanity.
We regard Karate not merely as a competitive sport or a method of combat, but as a lifelong path of personal development. Through the demanding discipline of Full-Contact Karate and the enduring principles of Bushido, we commit ourselves to passing on the true values of martial arts, serving our communities, and promoting mutual understanding and peace throughout the world.
