WHAT IS SOKARATE
Sokarate represents the concept of “All Karate” — a unifying system that brings together practitioners from different styles, schools, and traditions into one complete and practical martial art.
—
THE PRINCIPLE OF REAL KARATE
Unlike many modern approaches that prioritize theory and non-contact practice, Sokarate emphasizes reality through contact.
Without contact:
Technique remains theoretical
Timing is misunderstood
Distance is never mastered
Real fighting ability is not developed
Contact is the bridge between:
Basics
Kata
Kumite
Without this connection, Karate loses its essence.
—
OFFENSE BEFORE DEFENSE
In many modern systems, students are taught to block first.
In Sokarate, we teach attack first.
Why?
Because:
You cannot understand a block without understanding the attack it defends against.
Techniques like JODAN UKE, SOTO UKE, GEDAN BARAI only gain meaning through real offensive context
Offense and defense are one system — not separate elements.
—
DEPTH OVER QUANTITY
Modern training often overloads students with many techniques at once.
Sokarate follows a different path:
Master one technique completely
Then move forward
This ensures:
Natural integration into the fighter’s body
Real efficiency in combat
Personal adaptation of technique
Quality always comes before quantity.
—
TRAINING THROUGH CONTACT
Every technique in Sokarate is taught with controlled contact.
This does NOT mean brutality.
It means:
Feeling the technique
Understanding impact
Developing real timing and distance
Without contact:
You only imagine technique
You do not own it
With contact:
You experience it physically and mentally
It becomes part of you
—
THE TRAINING SYSTEM
Effective training in Sokarate follows a complete cycle:
1. KAMAE – correct body posture and readiness
2. Movement – footwork (step, slide, switch)
3. Execution – technique with contact
4. Return – back to KAMAE
Only this full cycle creates:
Real fighters
Real understanding
Real Karate
—
THE UNITY OF TRAINING
Sokarate connects all three pillars:
Kihon (Basics)
Kata (Forms)
Kumite (Sparring)
These are not separate disciplines.
They are one system.
Understanding their connection is essential to mastering Karate.
—
TRADITION AND REALITY
Training by standing still and striking the air is not real Karate.
Sokarate restores the traditional method:
Movement
Contact
Application
This is how Karate was trained historically —
and how it must be trained today.
—
STRUCTURED LEARNING SYSTEM
The Sokarate Training System is built on progressive development.
Step-by-step methodology
Logical progression
Real application at every stage
Students develop:
Technique
Strategy
Fighting ability
—
PHILOSOPHY
Karate is not just mental.
Karate is not just physical.
Karate is the union of both.
Through:
Hard training
Discipline
Sweat
The mind opens.
Only then can you truly understand Karate.
This is Sokarate.
—
MEANING OF OSU

Perseverance
Spirit
Commitment
It is not just a word.
It is a way of life within Sokarate
